Forward

On Sunday I was visiting an upscale mall in Nairobi, Kenya. I was on a quest for a new tie and decided to look in this menswear boutique type place. The woman who was working there was quite stunning; beautiful facial features, exotic eyes, nice body very well dressed. I had found a Nordstrom woman in Africa! I asked her if she was the owner which made her very pleased, as she was not. I complimented her on her looks by telling her she looked “so smart” today. I bought two ties from her at a 33% discount and asked her to keep an eye out for a certain style of cufflink for me. She took my phone number and in the process I took hers. She asked me a couple questions including, “Are you married?” I replied honestly and then asked if I could call her and see her on her chai break someday. She responded positively. We have been texting back and forth and will be seeing each other this next week.

And that’s how easy it can be to find a girlfriend in the third world. This wasn’t a planned attack. I didn’t see her and go into the store because of her. I just happened upon a very beautiful girl in my normal daily routine and gently showed an interest in her without being too aggressive. This is not the U.S. or Europe where my Nordstrom girl would have practically laughed in my face. In the U.S. and Europe rejection is the status quo. Whether you’re in Kenya, the Philippines, Mexico, or Trinidad you’ll run into beautiful women who will have “yes” on their lips more often than “no”.

I am not a “player” and never have been. However, these days my problem is not whether I will find sex in any given city. My problem is choosing who to find it with. I’m still working out my “balance” on how many girlfriends to keep and how to keep them all happy. It’s like the Eagles said, “I got seven women on my mind; four that want to own me, two that want to stone me, one says she’s a friend of mine.”
