AMPs – Your Local Asian Massage Parlor
Your local Asian massage parlor, or AMP as its known in the mongering world, is just that…local. You don’t actually think you live somewhere where there’s no prostitution activities going on do you? If you do, I challenge you to do a little research. It’s not just Shinjuku in Japan or Itaewon in Korea or Shanghai in China where a man can be treated like an indulgent king for an hour. It is likely that within 20 miles of your home that there are AMPs that will service you for a price. You may be surprised to find a place right around the corner from you. Like there is a Chinese Restaurant in every city in the world, there is also an Asian massage parlor. OK, so I exaggerate a bit. I have had trouble locating AMPs in some cities both in the U.S. and abroad but generally speaking, there’s an AMP near you.
For the purpose of this discussion, I will limit myself to commercial locations within the U.S. I’ll talk about international massage in another chapter and I’ll discuss private residence massages in yet another.
How do you find out where your local AMP is? Well, first you should know that AMPs are not keen on advertising in the yellow pages or in your mainstream newspaper. Most likely you will find AMP advertisements in your local alternative newspaper. The Silicon Valley in California has The Metro which is a perfect example. Others include The East Bay Express, the SF Bay Guardian, and The Santa Cruz Sentinel. All papers will have their own publishing rules so you may have to be a bit crafty in your research. If you look in the classified advertisements in your regional alternative newspaper you will find a lot of ads for massage or “relaxation”. Now AMPs don’t last very long if they’re not careful so you may not see the same establishment advertised every week. Some AMPs may simply not advertise at all but rely on word-of-mouth to bring in clientele. Sometimes they’ve relocated and bring their clientele with them. If they don’t advertise, one may find them by simply driving through the poorer sections of town and looking for salons or spas in strip malls. An AMP will never declare “Massage with happy ending here!”, so don’t bother looking for that. However, if you are driving by and see a Salon that is run by Asians and advertises “Massage”, “Facials”, or “Relaxation” in their front window, jot down the phone number (it’ll be there) for further investigation.
Now you’ve done your research and found some phone numbers you suspect might be sexual “service provider” AMPs near your home or office. How do you find out for sure? There are three basic questions to determine whether you’re talking to a legitimate massage business or a front for prostitution; (1) When you call, is the phone answered by a woman with a thick Asian accent?, (2) Are they open for business past 7:00 PM?, (3) Do you have to make an appointment or can you just drop in? If you are talking to a woman who barely speaks English, stays open until 10:00 PM, and takes drop in appointments, you have most likely discovered an AMP.
I will try to explain the general act of discovery that you must go through to engage in illegal activity inside an AMP. All AMPs will differ slightly in the way they do business and they will also provide different levels of service depending on their business practices and their “rules of the house”. Generally speaking, here is what to expect. When you walk in, you will encounter either the manager of the house (mamasan) or the actual masseuse. The two may be very different in looks so if what you’re seeing is not someone you’d want touching your body, clarify with a question like, “Are you doing the massage?” If the answer is “yes” and the lady is old enough to be your grandmother, you may want to have an excuse ready for a quick getaway. I’ve found that “I forgot to go to the ATM! Where’s the nearest bank?”, is a great one. Most of these places will have a charge for ½ hour and 1 hour…usually $40 and $60. You will be led to a room with either a massage table or a bed made up like a massage table, told to undress and make your way to the shower. Bear in mind that there is no discussion of sex or anything like that and that most likely the walls will be plastered with warnings that “Requesting sexual favors will be dealt with by eviction from the premises”. Now some men I know are more aggressive and test the waters immediately by groping the masseuse immediately after closing the door. Bold! I’ve never been one to try that unless initiated by the masseuse first and that’s pretty rare unless you’ve developed a relationship over time. I’ve always been one to enjoy the massage and leave the sexual gratification for the last 10-15 minutes. So when you have finished your shower and return to the room to lie down, usually face down, you most likely still won’t know if anything sexual will be offered or can be requested. Here are some signs to watch and feel for; (1) A legitimate masseuse will probably start with a certain pressure and then ask if it’s too much or too little. An AMP will typically ask before if you like it hard, medium or light. The light touch is the giveaway. I find it is simply a tickling, teasing touch that can be really arousing. A legitimate masseuse knows this, doesn’t want to deal with your tent pole, and therefore won’t offer it. (2) A legitimate masseuse will be super careful with your towel covering. An AMP will be loose with the towel often reaching beyond its boundaries or allowing it to slip out of place or off completely. If you want to test, you can ignore the towel and lie down butt naked. How the masseuse reacts to seeing your bare ass as she walks into the room can be quite telling. (3) A legitimate masseuse will never make the mistake of accidentally brushing her nails against your penis or balls. An AMP may do so in an attempt to cautiously tell you she’s up for more, while hiding behind the “accidental touch” in case you’re a vice cop. (4) A legitimate masseuse will never massage your butt and will never run her fingers and nails down your crack to tease your ass a little. If that’s what you feel when you’re lying on your stomach, all that’s left is the negotiation. (5) If you want to set your mind at ease, as well as hers, test the waters a little with some polite groping (oxymoron, I know!). My favorite test when lying face down is to wait for her to be standing at your head, massaging your shoulders. Casually reach around and grab her ass. See how she reacts. What’s the worst that can happen? I guess she could storm out of the room and tell you to leave but it’s never happened to me. If all the other signs are there, the worst that can happen is that she walks to another spot or she firmly takes your hands and places them back on the table. By testing the waters you’ve set your mind at ease (you know what’s coming and you can lay back and enjoy the massage) and you’ve set her mind at ease (she is now convinced you are not a vice cop).
Now when you’re in this position where the girl has given you a light touch massage and caressed your butt and possibly played with your ass a bit, that’s the time when she’ll ask you to turn over. Obviously at this point, the two of you may have a conversation piece to discuss. Still the masseuse will most likely flutter her fingers around your cock and balls without making real contact. The masseuse will then tease and negotiate for her services. The negotiation for services usually takes place with hand signals because, whether it’s true or not, the girl wants the man to think that the owner (or mamasan) does not condone this type of behavior. There are usually three levels of service; Level one is a hand job or “happy ending”. Level two is a blowjob or oral sex. Level three involves a little level two and then on to a good fuck. Fun Fact “Line-Ups”: If you go to an AMP that has a line-up (that’s where you enter and there are several girls lined up to greet you) you have found a sexual service provider. There won’t be much testing or discovery to be done. Most likely you’ll enter the massage room and the girl will ask you what you want. She’ll have a price that may or may not be negotiable but you should try. Then it’s off to the races…literally. You most likely won’t get a very long massage unless you’ve already discussed it with her in advance. There are advantages and disadvantages to the line-up places. I happen to like the massage part which involves a lot of teasing and makes me very hot and horny. Getting straight to business may or may not appeal to you. You should however, negotiate everything. For example, if all you want is a hand job or blow job, don’t assume you have negotiated for her to be topless, or naked, or even that you can touch her. Make sure you’ve negotiated for that if that’s what you’re expecting. Line up places are hard to find in the suburbs. To find these, you’ll most likely need to go to a large city like San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York.

5 tips for successful AMP mongering:
1) Do your research ahead of time. Find the potential places and make a few phone calls. Use the three questions above to identify the place you want to visit. Don’t block caller ID on your phone.
2) Meet your masseuse before you agree to the massage. Politely ask the desk help to identify who will be massaging you.
3) Never ask for sex but “test the waters” by “forgetting” to cover up with a towel and politely fondling the masseuse. See how far she’ll let you go but don’t force it.
